Job Summary

Ensono seeks an experienced Senior Modern Workplace Consultant to join our global Public Cloud Consulting practice.

As a Senior Consultant you will act as the technical lead during both the solutioning and delivery phases of Modern Workplace engagements. You will demonstrate thought leadership and possess expert-level knowledge of key Modern Workplace technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, Windows SOE, ADDS, EntraID, and will possess good supplemental knowledge of Azure more generally.

In addition to having the pre-requisite formal qualifications, you will have extensive practical experience in delivering projects in this space, ideally in a similar role.

Equally as important as the technical competency, the Senior Consultant must demonstrate a passion for the subject, aligned with a real desire to perform at the highest levels and to delight our clients. Ideally the consultant will have a good understanding of how a consulting practice operates, including commercial considerations and the importance of driving efficiencies through approach and automation.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant, you will design, configure, implement, and perform migration activities on behalf of, and in collaboration with, Ensono’s clients using the latest enterprise scale Modern Workplace solutions. With a focus on leading client engagements, you will work through the complete consulting life cycle. Subject matter knowledge and experience is essential

Role Summary

Working within the Public Cloud Consulting Practice, the Senior Modern Workplace Consultant is focused on delivering complex Modern Workplace projects for a wide variety of clients. Projects include consulting, reviewing, designing, implementing and migrations for O365 services, Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot, Defender, XDR, Windows 11 and Azure services especially Azure Virtual Desktop.

The successful candidate has a passion for technology, demonstrates a high level of personal accountability, and executes to a very high standard as they deliver a broad portfolio of services. The ability to work collaboratively both within the Modern Workplace team and the wider Ensono business is paramount as projects are often part of bigger programmes of work and managed services.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver Modern Workplace projects on time and within budget, from presales to initial discovery, through to design, build and pilot into full deployment and user migrations.

• Evolve solutions and products to meet customer requirements aligning to industry best practices.
• Collaborate with other members of the project team and provide mentorship and coaching to junior team members.

Achieve and maintain a high rate of client satisfaction.

• Maintain a healthy project margin

As a Senior Consultant you are a professional in both technical skill and attitude, therefore you have a responsibility to:

• Provide thought leadership both to customers and Ensono
• Provide technical governance/oversight for client engagements
• Understand and articulate the Modern Workplace Effectively
• Conduct documentation peer review
• Provide technical escalation to the consulting team
• Mentor, coaching, train internal consultants and others
• Define and maintain standards

Knowledge & Skills

To be successful you should meet the following skills requirements and essential knowledge:

Non-Technical:

• Confident and Self-motivated
• An effective communicator both written and oral
• Ability to ‘hold a room’ and be the technical authority in design workshops and client discussions
• Highly competent technical writing and other documentation
• Highly organized and logical when approaching projects

Technical Mandatory:

• Office 365
• Azure Virtual Desktop
• Active Directory / Entra ID
• Windows 11 OS and management technologies
• Intune/Endpoint Manager/Autopilot
• Microsoft Security (Defender, XDR, Conditional Access, AIP)
• Design, build, and Migration experience of the above

Desirable:

• Azure infrastructure and networking
• Automation and scripting inc. PowerShell
• Windows Infrastructure (general)
• Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
• AWS and GCP knowledge

Experience:

 10+ years in a hands-on technology delivery role including 5+ years designing and deploying Modern Workplace solutions for customers in a consultative capacity

• SME / Technical authority role within a client environment

Certifications and Qualifications:

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science
