Clarivate is seeking an experienced Senior Technical writer to create high-quality, customer-facing product documentation for our global user base. This role requires expertise in MadCap Flare and Central, exceptional English proficiency, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Engineering, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical writing background, a proven ability to manage complex documentation projects, and a passion for delivering clear, impactful user-focused content.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, or a related field, or an equivalent number of years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of technical writing experience, preferably for SaaS products
- Minimum 3 years of experience with MadCap Flare and Central (such as templates, variables, conditional content, single-sourcing and multi-channel publishing) or other modern documentation tools, as well as Git-based workflows
- Superior written and verbal communication skills in English (near-native proficiency)
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in Agile environment

- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Experience documenting complex ERP-level products
- Familiarity with content strategy and information architecture
- Knowledge of emerging technologies like AI tools for content and process optimization
- A background in software development or computer science
What will you be doing in this role?
- Create and maintain high-quality product documentation that meets user needs and aligns with product goals.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accurate documentation.
- Build and maintain documentation infrastructure using MadCap Flare and Central
- Develop and follow style guides, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency across all documentation
- Manage complex documentation projects from inception to completion while meeting deadlines and quality standards
- Identify opportunities to enhance workflows through automation or new tools (e.g., leveraging advanced features in MadCap Flare/Central or exploring AI-driven solutions)
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in technical writing to ensure our documentation remains innovative and effective

Hours of Work
This is a full-time permanent position based in a Clarivate location in Belgrade, Serbia and will require hybrid working (2-3 days per week in office, rest of week remote).
This position requires weekday attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours.
