Job Description
About the role
The Senior Technical Program Manager is the key coordinator role across multiple projects and initiatives. This is an individual contributor who will drive the delivery of interconnected projects and initiatives across multi-functional teams, including but not limiting to Technology team in both ANZ and Asia markets to deliver programs of work across Asia. The Senior Technical Program Manager will help drive the individual roadmaps, manage dependencies with other teams and collectively achieve the initiatives.
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background working in technology environments and have a sound understanding of technical concepts or you are from a technical background, meticulous attention to detail, and outstanding organizational skills.
The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind, a proven track record to strategize & provide sound judgment and implement program initiatives under pressure. As a natural born leader, you will have a strong talent for project coordination and delegation. Ultimately, you are motivated by the desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.
The Senior Technical Program Manager will help introduce lean and agile program management practices to deliver outcomes to agreed quality at pace.
Key Accountabilities
- Collaborate and influence Multi-functional teams to develop overarching programs and roadmaps around unified objectives and orientating teams to deliver on their roadmap.
- Create and maintain an environment which enables strong team cultures that embraces diversity, delivery, ownership, teamwork, learning and continuous improvement
- Advocacy for wellbeing by fostering safety, inclusivity, fun, sustainability, and diversity of thought within your team(s)
- Lead others through change, including leaders, whilst applying SEEK’s change principles to deliver effective organisational change.
- Track progress, identify issues and dependencies, and driving resolution.
- Collaborate with and report to senior partners to ensure governance and reporting needs are satisfied with concise communication and transparency regarding project issues and decisions.
- Connecting teams, collaborating, and coordinating efforts related to deliver Asia technology programs.
- Analysing, implementing, and managing changes and interventions to ensure program goals are achieved.
- Design and implement practices, rituals, and tools to continually improve team delivery cadence to reach desired outcomes efficiently.
Qualifications
So, what we are looking for:
- 8 -10 years of experience in Program Management or managing multiple projects at once while managing dependencies and aligning partner's expectation.
- Strong experience leading team environments which support agile and continuous delivery, identifying potential for technical, delivery, business, and process improvements
- Highly developed stakeholder management and communication skills to effectively deliver and report on progress, risks, issues, capacity, and costs
- Significant experience partnering with multi-functional teams in setting, aligning, and communicating team OKR’s (or equivalent goal setting framework)
- Ability to collaborate and influence exceptionally well with various senior level partners, with potentially conflicting business requirements, to define a clear strategy which best serves the overall APAC strategy
- Strong ability to analyse and present data to support business decisions as required
Desirable Experience, Skills and Competencies:
- Prior experience working in a leadership role to drive the success of a technology implementation, would be ideal
- Experience in driving digital transformation project in an organization with multiple Asia countries
- Experience leading remote teams in a multi-country / location or matrixed environment would be desirable
- Familiarity with different culture norms and practises, particularly within Asia would be highly desirable
