Job Description:

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to join the newly formed Technology Transformation team, reporting directly to the Head of Tech Transformation. The Senior TPM plays a crucial role in overseeing the delivery of technical projects. They ensure that technology teams are aligned on important decisions, are accountable to the team, project, and company goals, and execute high-quality work efficiently.

The Senior TPM is responsible for:

  • Deep diving into product requirements and design documents: They need to understand both the business value and technical aspects of the project to provide valuable feedback.
  • Identifying dependencies and stakeholders: This involves creating a high-level project plan and keeping it up to date.
  • Monitoring project execution and tracking risks: They ensure that the project stays on track and any potential risks are managed effectively.
  • Coordinating with non-technology teams: This includes managing the launch process and handling post-launch items.
  • Portfolio management: They oversee multiple projects and ensure that they align with the overall business & technology strategy.
  • Technology Transformation: Support the CTO / Head of Technology Transformation with MIS reporting, executive presentations and communications, strategy

Years of Experience

  • 10+ years of technical program / project management experience
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis experience
  • 5+ years of working directly with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity or Software engineering teams
  • 3+ years of Financial Services experience preferred
  • People Management experience a plus

Qualifications / Candidates Requirement

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent). 
  • Prior experience migrating on-prem systems to Azure / Public Cloud
  • Proficiency in Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence), Adobe Workfront. 
  • Strong understanding of Software Development life cycles and Agile methodologies.
  • Highly organized, ability to prioritize, and manage multiple projects. 
  • Ability to work independently, managing tasks and projects, and demonstrated ability to follow through and accomplish work and communicate updates in a simplistic way for all level of users. 
  • Significant proven experience in project / program management of complex development and/or infrastructure projects.  
  • Sustained experience in managing large cost capital projects / programs (>$1M)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across technology teams, product, business, management, and clients to understand their needs, drive improvements and translate them into actionable program / project plan.
  • Drive projects to completion – strong bias for action 
  • Own the communication with leadership and stakeholders on programs / projects status, risks, timelines and challenges.
  • Proactively identify issues, risks and dependencies and come up with mitigating steps.
