It’s with that in mind that Beyond is looking to add a Senior Technical Program Manager 1 to our growing team. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will have the opportunity to build the next evolution of our SaaS-based product as well as work on new products. Because you will be working with a successful team that is completely remote, excellent coding and communication skills are key. As our Senior Technical Program Manager 1, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Driving cross-functional alignment: Collaborate with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to align the Data platform team deliverables with the needs of customer-facing product teams.
  • Program management: Lead large, complex technical programs spanning multiple teams. Ensure progress is tracked, communicated, and iterated on, balancing trade-offs and priorities.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Proactively gather requirements and foster buy-in across teams. Serve as a trusted partner to internal teams and align cross-team objectives with clear priorities.
  • Solution architecture advocacy: Partner with engineers to recommend and communicate technical solutions. Understand and articulate trade-offs related to performance, scalability, security, maintainability, and resource constraints.
  • Operational excellence: Promote and contribute to engineering best practices, including CI/CD, MLOps, observability, automation, and technical documentation, ensuring the platform is reliable and scalable.

Now that we’ve told you what the job looks like, here are the qualifications we're looking for in a candidate:

  • 5+ years of technical experience: Experience as a senior software engineer or in a highly technical role within platform or infrastructure teams, with expertise in Python, SQL, and data systems
  • Program management skills: Proven experience managing complex, cross-team technical projects with a focus on driving results and fostering alignment.
  • Cross-functional communication: Ability to work with stakeholders across engineering and customer-facing product teams to build consensus, clarify priorities, and drive technical solutions that meet business needs.
  • Strategic mindset: A proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement, solving problems collaboratively, and creating frameworks to scale platform initiatives effectively.
  • A fast-paced, iterative mindset: You are comfortable working in a fast-moving SaaS environment and emphasize shipping value for internal and external customers.
