About the role
The Senior Technical & International Accounting Manager will serve as a key technical accounting resource within the company and will collaborate with cross-functional teams, executives and external auditors. This role is also responsible for all international statutory reporting and compliance for Dialpad’s international entities and will support external reporting activities.
This is a hybrid position located in the San Ramon, CA office and reports to the Assistant Controller.
What you’ll do
- Oversee the international accounting function and manage the relationship with 3rd party accounting firms.
- Responsible for statutory reporting and compliance for Dialpad’s international subsidiaries.
- Participate in month-end close activities including preparing intercompany journal entries, ensuring international accounting close is accurate and timely, preparing earnings per share and other complex accounting calculations as needed.
- Responsible for conducting accounting research and preparing technical accounting memorandums for significant and/or complex transactions.
- Monitor developments and assess and communicate the effects of emerging US GAAP and SEC proposed regulations, and oversee the implementation of new accounting standards.
- Maintain an external reporting calendar and communicate deadlines effectively to stakeholders.
- Oversee the preparation of quarterly financial statements, including the statement of cash flows.
- Partner with external auditors and respond to audit requests in a timely manner.
- Perform SOX controls and procedures over financial reporting and accounting processes.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial presentations for Audit Committee.
- Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
Skills you’ll bring
- 8+ years of combined experience in Big 4 public accounting and industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; an active CPA designation (or equivalent) is required.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations and IFRS.
- Demonstrated expertise in researching and documenting accounting guidance and treatment of accounting issues.
- Experience with international accounting and cost-plus entity structures.
- Strong relationship management and communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
