JOB SUMMARY
This job is an integral member of Mulesoft Center for Enablement team and will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable, and high-performance MuleSoft APIs and integrations utilizing the Anypoint Platform. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in MuleSoft API Development, a passion for API design best practices, and the ability to mentor and guide junior developers. A strong understanding of platform engineering is preferred, including experience with deployment strategies, monitoring, scaling, and troubleshooting within the Cloudhub environment. This role requires collaboration with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality solutions. Key activities include conducting code reviews for junior developers, mentoring team members, contributing to API strategy and governance, leading small to medium-sized projects, creating and maintaining technical documentation, and proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities. Proficiency in API design principles and a commitment to continuous learning and staying current with the latest MuleSoft technologies and industry best practices are essential.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for one or many of the following tasks: analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions, as well as providing general production monitoring and support, meeting defined scope, target dates and budgets with minimal or no defects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, product, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions that meet organizational needs
- Monitor work against production schedule and provide progress updates and report any isses or technical difficulties to leadership on a regular basis.
- Document technical processes and procedures, and participate in technical reviews and knowledge sharing sessions
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of with architecture to ensure solution alignment to enterprise goals and standards
- Mentor other associate and intermediate technical engineers as needed
- Perform technical analysis and provide insights to support decision-making across various departments
- Stay up-to-date with the latest relevant technologies and industry best practices
- Other duties as assigned or requested.
EXPERIENCE
Required
- 5 years of experiences in one or many of the following tasks: analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions, as well as providing general production support, meeting defined scope, target dates and budgets with minimal or no defects.
- 5 years of technical problem solving, solution implementation, team/project collaboration
- 5 years of basic computer science concepts and principles, common operating systems, development languages/scripting
Preferred
- 7+ years of API development experience using MuleSoft suite of products - Any point Platform, Design Center, Connectors, Exchange, Runtime manager and API Management tools
- 7+ years of work experience in implementing integrations with Web services / SOAP / RESTful/ file-based integration patterns and use of different Mule connectors (Kafka, Google Pub Sub, File, Http/Https, Salesforce etc.)
- 5+ years of experience translating requirements, design mockups, prototypes or user stories into technical designs
- Experience with Platform Engineering – setting up Cloudhub infrastructure, good understanding of load balancing, networking, security and VPC/private spaces
- Proven experience designing and developing MuleSoft APIs using OpenAPI or RAML specifications
- Strong understanding of API design principles (REST, SOAP, etc.) and best practices.
- Experience with API security best practices (OAuth 2.0, JWT, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Experience with Salesforce Clouds (Health, Sales, Marketing etc.)
- Certification - MuleSoft Developer II and/or Integration Architect I

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with DevOps culture and working knowledge in tools such as Maven, CyberArk and GitHub/Copado for CI/CD
- Working experience on SDLC and Agile methodology and familiar with tools like Agility or Copado Plan

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.

Pay Range Minimum:
$78,900.00
Pay Range Maximum:
$147,500.00
Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations.
