What You’ll Do: (job responsibilities)
- Support the vision of the Global IT/Data Warehouse & Analytics team, assist with product requirements, and translate abstract requirements into technical user stories for Scrum teams.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager on roadmap planning and prioritization.
- Closely communicate with internal/external teams to understand overall business situation and key topics of concern.
- Test business processes and recommend improvements.
- Create reports, dashboards and visualizations to understand business performance or team performance.
- Provide support to internal/external teams for any data, reports, or tools inquiry.
- Collaborate with the scrum team to resolve product-related problems and make decisions that represent the strategic goals of the Data and Insights team.
- Partner with the Product Manager and Scrum Master to resolve issues with the Business throughout the sprint.
- Work with Stakeholders, Developers, and cross functional team on Sprint Planning.
- Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
- Prepare detailed documentation and maintain product, project, and process standard artifact.
Who You Are: (skills and experience required)
- 6+ years as a Business Analyst.
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog refinement.
- Experience working with web-based enterprise applications.
- 2+ years with Jira/Confluence, Excel.
- Knowledge of basic SQL to run ad hoc analysis.
- Knowledge of Agile software development life cycles.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer, business or music related field.
Nice to have:
- Develop powerful data visualizations and storytelling using Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and concepts such as Agile, SAFE, scrum, CI/CD, and DevOps Skills/Competencies.
- Must be aligned with Sony’s Values and Purpose.
- Strong communication skills: Ability to explain detailed and intricate concepts and ideas.
- Good organizational & time management skills with ability to successfully manage and prioritize numerous time pressured analytical activities / projects.
- Capable of managing performance indirectly.
- Ability to work both individually and within a high-performing team.
- Ability to manage Product scope, releases, and stakeholders.
- System and data analysis.
- Product Ownership.
- System design and thinking.
