Position Summary
We’re currently looking for a Senior Tax Manager- US Reporting to join our team in Nashville, TN.
This role will be responsible for leading a team to ensure the timely and accurate completion of US income tax (Federal and State) returns and estimated tax payments, properly reflecting the positions taken by the Company while mitigating risks through appropriate documentation and disclosure; and, ensure the timely and accurate delivery of information in support of tax planning, audit, and accounting activities. Develop and refine the vision for US tax reporting including continuous improvement, relationship management, and the integration with other Tax COEs, Finance, and business processes.
Position located @ Bridgestone HQ in Nashville, TN.
Hybrid schedule in office 3 days a week (Tuesday- Thursday).
Responsibilities

Develop annual resource plan, budget, and project timelines in alignment with other COEs and teams, specifically Risk Management and Consulting; Manage the preparation of the consolidated federal and state income tax returns consistent with resource plans and budget.

Responsible at quarters and year-end close for managing calculations of taxable income, temporary and permanent adjustments, reviewing accuracy of all deferred balances, and identifying / assisting with uncertain tax position determinations for the Company.

Develop and recommend tax plans to reduce the Corporation’s overall tax burden and optimize cash flow; including opportunities to improve operating profit, increase cash efficiency and / or reduce effective tax rate.

In balance with “day-to-day” compliance and accounting-related activities, drive and/or materially contribute to significant organizational project / planning initiatives on a routine basis.

Establish the vision, set strategic direction, and empower the US Tax Reporting team members to meet their objectives.

Ensure professional and technical development of the US Tax Reporting COE members, including providing timely coaching, candid feedback, and professional development opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
-
8+ years’ experience in a large multinational corporation or public accounting firm

3 years’ experience leading a team

BA / BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar

CPA, CMI, CAE or international equivalent

MST or MBA a plus
