Senior Tax Analyst
What does a successful Senior Tax Analyst do?
The Senior Tax Analyst for the EMEA region will play a pivotal role in managing the preparation and submission of VAT returns for one or more Fiserv EMEA entities. As part of a dynamic global tax team, there is potential to expand responsibilities to include VAT compliance for additional entities over time. This position reports directly to the Tax Director, EMEA, based in the UK.
What will you do:

Prepare VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, and Intrastat returns as required for designated entities.

Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT returns and payments.

Calculate VAT annual adjustments as needed.

Conduct monthly VAT reconciliations, ensuring full alignment with the general ledger.

Perform monthly turnover reconciliations, verifying consistency between VAT records and financial statements.

Generate other VAT-related reports as necessary.

Collaborate closely with EMEA accounting teams on all VAT-related matters.

Assist in reviewing and implementing VAT processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Support the EMEA tax team with ad hoc tax returns and provide assistance on VAT/tax planning projects.

Offer support during tax audits.
What you will need to have

Experience in a VAT role within an accounting practice or industry.

Full or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is desirable.

Familiarity with financial services VAT and partial exemption calculations.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and their impact on VAT.

Strong analytical capabilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
