What does it mean to be a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at GLS?
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist position is responsible for driving the quality execution of talent acquisition processes to optimize outcomes. This position includes leading a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists.
How you will drive value within the organization as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist?
- Collaborate with business leaders to address current and future hiring needs including assisting with the development and updating of position descriptions, facilitating the full cycle recruitment of staff, and supporting the on-boarding of new hires
- Motivate, develop and coach assigned staff to optimum performance including establishing sound performance expectations and ensure team meets service level expectations of internal and external customers
- Manage day-to-day operations for assigned talent acquisition team, including oversight of all administrative activities related to recruitment processes and assignments, to maintain a balanced workload and optimize team output, delivering on a commitment to provide top quality information, service, and support
- Create a culture centered around a high quality, positive and engaging experience for all candidates
- Monitor and drive key talent acquisition KPIs and create regular reporting for key stakeholders
- Manage systems/tools and the development of talent pipelines for assigned hirings initiatives
- Develop and implement new processes or enhancements to the current talent acquisition processes as necessary
- Effectively collaborate with the college relations team to assist with recruiting efforts for targeted universities, military placement services and other hiring program resources in support of on-going pipeline development
- Collaborate with internal marketing/communications to execute a functional, scalable and trend-conscience recruitment marketing plans to connect with the current talent market in creative and innovative ways
- Participate in special projects as assigned
- Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by management
What you should have to be successful as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist?
- Minimum of bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in talent acquisition in a third-party or corporate setting required
- Prior supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team - provide quality training, guidance, performance coaching and feedback to assigned staff
- Prior experience working in a high-volume staffing environment highly desirable
- Strong ability to manage to specific KPIs relevant to the talent acquisition function
- Ability to analyze data and reporting to provide regular updates to key stakeholders
- Experience proactively sourcing and engaging passive talent for technical specialty or operations leadership roles
- Proficiency in web-based recruiting tools and systems required
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: friendly and tactful with the ability to influence others, effectively manage conflict, exercise sound judgment, effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, interact at all levels within the organization, and build cross-functional partnerships across the business
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness
- Excellent consulting, client management and business literacy skills with demonstrated understanding of corporate and business unit challenges
- Team player that can adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of internet and standard business applications such as Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required
- Ability to think strategically and deliver tactically
