If so, our Data Protection Technologies and Compliance (DPTC) team is searching for an impactful Sr Software Engineer to join us taking the next big leap forward responsible for a portfolio of enterprise collaboration, communication, and automation services!
Our Sr System Reliability Engineers (SR SRE) are an extended part of the DPTC team within Innovative Data Solutions. The DPTC team’s Vision is to be T-Mobile’s Privacy Champions as we empower, protect and implement the privacy choices of everyone who uses T-Mobile products and services. Our Mission is to Earn Trust as we treat our customers right by being clear and giving them practical ways to control how their data is used. We innovate responsibly, and continuously improve our products and processes safeguarding individual privacy as technology evolves.
We are looking for a premier Sr SRE implementing Privacy regulations, data architecture, microservices architecture, AI/ML, & messaging to deliver scalable technology solutions that align with T-Mobile's NorthStar products, platforms and architecture vision. This individual is encouraged to work with our privacy, legal, business partners to launch new innovative features while keeping Privacy Compliance at the forefront.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong experience and Privacy domain knowledge in launching Privacy & Compliance Products to support regulations such as CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, TCPA etc.
  • Good working experience implementing privacy compliance solutions with such as One Trust, secuiti.ai
  • Evaluate and implement technologies that improve efficiency, performance, and reliability of the cloud Infrastructure
  • Develop and deliver DevOps solutions that enable partnership with engineering teams
  • Drive improvements in capacity, reliability, availability, monitoring and performance of Privacy Compliance Landscape in Production
  • Work with other team members, feature development teams, and Operations to collaborate on DevOps practice methodology design and development
  • Partner with developers, automation engineers and architects to build software deployment plans.
  • Drive the building of tools for automated deployment and sanity testing.
  • Prepare and deploy new microservices, incremental changes and complete fixes into production environment with HA-DR setup.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using T-Mobile Gitlab community templates
  • Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to setup/integrate tools for telemetry like SonarQube, AppDynamics, Splunk et
  • Specialist for microservices performance and reliability, deployment problems and developing specialized skills.
  • Articulate recommendations for improving performance via gap analysis, identifying the most practical alternative solutions, and assisting with modifications.
  • Provide documentation support, as vital and work with cross domain team for opening Firewall or whitelisting IP ranges for backend cloud services.
  • Maintain objectivity while adjusting to iterative changes and the evolving technology landscape.
  • Test and solve Spring Boot REST API’s and should be able to retrieve logs for business transactions for microservices hosted on Azure & Kubernetes.
  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and improve the customer experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 4+ yrs validated experience working in a DevOps and Agile environment.
  • Experience in one or more of: C, C#, Java, Perl, Python, Go, or scripting experience in Shell and Perl.
  • Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools: Jenkins, Cloudbees, etc. and other automation tools.
  • Experience in APM tool, like, AppDynamics, logging tool, like Splunk.
  • Working experience in a cloud environment (public/private).
  • Experience in migrating to cloud or cloud native environment's experience is preferable.
  • Experience with DevOps tools: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc. Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, etc. is preferable.

Base Pay Range: $98,500 - $177,700

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
