We are seeking a on-site/in-person Senior System Engineer to support the North American real estate business units based out of New York, NY. In this role, you will lead the design, deployment, and management of IOT infrastructure across multiple regions to support a North America distributed organization. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise systems, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to navigate diverse cultural and technical environments. The engineer will work closely with regional IT teams and North America stakeholders to ensure consistent and scalable infrastructure that aligns with business objectives.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust North America IT systems that align with business needs and regional requirements
  • Standardize infrastructure across regions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
  • Manage hybrid environments, integrating on-premises and cloud-based solutions (e.g., Azure, VMware)
  • Partner with regional IT teams to understand unique needs and challenges, providing tailored solutions
  • Act as a central escalation point for critical issues in North America operations
  • Foster strong communication and alignment across geographically dispersed teams
  • Monitor North America system performance and optimize for diverse network and user environments
  • Implement and oversee North America backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
  • Ensure compliance with international standards for data privacy and security
  • Lead large-scale, cross-region IT infrastructure projects, ensuring consistent delivery across multiple locations
  • Drive the adoption of North America standards for infrastructure, tools, and processes
  • Manage vendor relationships for North America technology services
  • Implement robust North America security protocols and systems to protect organizational data and resources
  • Ensure infrastructure complies with local regulations and industry standards in all operating regions
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for North America systems, processes, and standards

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in system engineering, with at least 3 years in a North America or multi-region role
  • Proficiency with enterprise operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux) and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Advanced expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid environments
  • Understanding of SAN/NAS technologies, implementation and management
  • Experienced in managing identity and access management (IdP) solutions (OneLogin, Okta)
  • Strong understanding of North America networking, firewalls, and load balancing technologies
  • Knowledge of IT governance frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., ITIL, ISO 27001, NIST)
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex, distributed environments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL database installation, administration, monitoring and clustering
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures
  • Backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Monitoring tools
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls)
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CSEP, MCSE, VMware, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, ITIL) preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Type: Exempt

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly

Annual Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000

Medical & Pharmacy Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan

Dental Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan

Vision Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan

Retirement: 401(k)

Insurance: Employer-paid life & short/long term disability
