We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to be a part of the successful development of an integrated satellite ground system critical to national security. You will be a key member of a software development team defining and delivering operational visualization solutions to Space Force Guardians to prosecute an intense real-time warning mission.

The MDP/AP Visualization team uses a flexible combination of program structured model-based systems engineering, Human Factors/UI design artifacts, as well as internally defined engineering and architecture artifacts to define the system. Our approach is grounded in the belief that the systems engineering process should serve the mission and user and not propagate process for process’s sake.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As a Senior Systems Engineer you will:
- Work as an integrated part of a development team with daily coordination with human factors engineers, UI/UX designers, and software engineers to ensure full delivery of mission critical capability.
- Provide systems engineering analysis and products supporting the Visualization subsystem software development team including:
- Subsystem requirements and functional decomposition use cases
- Architecture and design structure and behavior
- Internal and External interface definition
- Test cases that demonstrate completed capability
- Conduct or support technical reviews such as the following:
- Working groups and hands-on assessments with current mission users
- Technical interchange meetings with customer representatives, program systems engineering, and other subsystems to define necessary capability.
- Lead Epic kickoffs to ensure alignment of the whole development team on capability to be delivered
- Test the software in collaboration with others on the team to validate and verify the specified functionality.
Required Skills & Experience
- Secret clearance or ability to obtain
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or computer science or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline and 7+ years of experience
- 5+ years of experience specifically in a systems engineer role on a U.S. government program I Detail oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating between program managers, software developers, and other systems engineers
Desired Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in OPIR mission space

The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications. The proposed salary for this position is:
$123,800—$206,300 USD
