Candidates for this position should have solid experience with WAN/LAN technologies, TCP/IP, routing protocols and have a deep understanding of reference network architectures along with a significant level of ‘Hands On’ network OS experience. Additionally, candidates with a solid track record of interaction with ISPs, familiarity with automation tools, multicast experience, strong analytical, project management and troubleshooting skills will receive a higher level of consideration.
Past success designing or maintaining a network via automation is also expected. Candidates should have competence in at least one scripting language and experience with standard automation tools. A successful candidate for this position will have strong interpersonal skills, an elevated level of verbal and written dexterity and will enjoy providing effective and meaningful solutions for clients, both internal and external.

We are building out a brand-new team in our São Paulo office to support our Platform Infrastructure Engineering team and enhance the FactSet tools used by our development teams and clients.
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing complex network systems by configuring networking equipment, automating processes, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure effective integration and support. They will also lead network projects, provide solutions, and serve as an escalation point for technical issues.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as a consultative resource for FactSet’s clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Engage in Real Time project delivery and regularly contribute to network stability and performance.
- Manage business and network initiative projects.
- Configure Cisco/Arista Routers, Switches, F5 Load Balancers, and Cloud Networking Services for integration.
- Build strong interpersonal relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Serve as an escalation point for network troubleshooting across all layers.
- Research, design, and implement new connections with market data providers and other third parties.
- Streamline processes using templates, automation, and workflow systems.
- Lead and guide Network Engineers; support their career and project goals.
- Participate in on-call rotations for weekend coverage.
Minimum Requirements:
- BS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to learn new technologies and manage multiple projects.
- Understanding of routing protocols, TCP/IP, Multicast technologies, DNS, LAN switching, and Wireshark.
- Knowledge of Cloud Computing technologies like AWS and Azure.
- Communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with network automation tools such as Python, Perl or similar scripting languages and Ansible, Salt, or similar automation tools.
Critical Skills:
- Competence in LAN Switching, Load Balancers, Optical Networking, and SAN.
- Understanding of network operating systems and modern data center requirements.
- Familiarity with network packet broker technologies and public/private/hybrid network architectures.
- Experience in network design, programming, or scripting.
- Experience with Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
- Cisco or other vendor professional certifications; CCIE or equivalent is a plus.
