Position Summary

The Senior Applications Analyst will oversee new project work as well as day-to-day application support across Product Sales & Services, Ski & Snowboard School and Food & Beverage. It is expected that this is a hands-on position that requires a willingness to rapidly learn new skills and help where needed most. This role requires a diverse background in overseeing both modern cloud-based solutions as well as legacy on-premises software. This position will report to the Vice President of Technology.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $97,886.05 to $127,252.  Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions

  • Work across Product Sales & Services, Rental-Retail, Ski & Snowboard School, Food & Beverage and IT to define and prioritize a backlog that continuously delivers measurable value towards business goals
  • Articulate solution alternatives that best solve existing business problems.
  • Coordinate development efforts across internal and external teams and instill best practices
  • Create, maintain, and manage Standard Operating Procedures in support of internal Mountain Application systems
  • Drive prioritization of requests with vendors and assist in the requirements definition, testing, and delivery
  • Configure and setup tables, facilitate day-to-day interaction with vendors and be responsible for developing and executing robust test plans
  • Ensure issues uncovered during the testing cycle are prioritized, communicated and resolved in a timely manner to ensure implementation timelines are met
  • Provide documentation and training for Help Desk staff, so that Help Desk staff may assist in supporting the solutions on an on-going basis
  • Develop and deliver ad hoc user queries and reports
  • Spend time in front line operations to build relationships and understand system opportunities
  • Be available for on-call support
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology or associated field required
  • 7+ years effectively managing multiple tasks and projects, with a demonstrated ability to identify and to communicate issues that may inhibit successful project completion
  • 7+ years of hands-on requirements and design development in complex environments required

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient knowledge in creating test plans, executing test plans and providing feedback to development teams for issue resolution
  • Ability to learn and grow knowledge in ProCard, Toast, RTP, and Mashgin.
  • Proficient knowledge in working with various project methodology practices is required
  • Proficient knowledge in working with matrixed teams and vendor partners preferred
  • Proficient knowledge in working in the leisure, travel, tourism, ski resort, or hospitality industries preferred
  • Some knowledge in Food & Beverage, Rental-Retail, Product Sales & Services
  • Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs workflows and procedures
  • Excellent complex problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback
  • Ability to maintain commitments; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams span business and technical sides of the organization
  • Proficient knowledge of current trends and how to apply them within the company
  • Skills in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively with different departments to achieve business objectives

Additional Information

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, type, and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executive repetitive movement
  • No adverse or hazardous conditions
  • Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
