Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities

Be responsible for delivery of technical content and quality management deliverables.

Work closely with technical teams to define design from high-level architecture, through technology selection and evaluation.

Mentor design teams with design control process including requirements flow down, system design, design analysis, risk analysis, integration and test, verification, and validation, manufacturing, field, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and customer support including corrective and preventative actions to ensure customer satisfaction.

Act as primary author and reviewer of system architecture, test design, design descriptions and customer documentation.

Ensure that the solutions are timely in nature and through detailed comparative analysis of solutions options with global stake holders, solutions are scalable, sustainable, fault tolerant, and within operational cost budgets.

Work closely with technical teams to manage technical program risks, design trade-offs, track technical program outcomes through established metrics.

Own end to end systems deliverables such as requirements development, ensuring traceability and flow down of requirements, system design and analysis, FMEA (failure modes and effects analysis), Risk management, and Verification & Validation on NPI (New Product Introduction) and productivity program modules.

Lead overall system level activities as part of systems and productivity team.

Provide domain expertise to serve as the main integrator between the different Hardware and Software functions to deliver the best high-quality product.

Design and deliver the system architecture, conduct component and product integration, develop methods to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on product Performance.

Own and deliver design inputs and overall requirements. Responsible for defining product requirements for the module / component teams.

Responsible for driving CTQ (Critical to Quality) / Risk trades within the teams designing the components. Manage the overall product configuration and configuration control system (manages the how).

Understand / translate the Standard compliance needs for the products and generate relevant requirements.

Lead engineering design team in technical design reviews and design test strategy definition, and technical risk analysis.

Promote and teach the Design-for-Reliability (DFR) methodologies across hardware, and systems integration programs, and have understanding on the software.

Lead modality wide reliability discussions to communicate and coordinate best-practices, and emerging issues.

Connect with external entities, customers and bring industry best practices back to team.

Develop the business case for reliability programs and communicate benefits to senior management in engineering and cross functional teams.

Focused on the reliability in the lifecycle management of a product. Identify and assess the ability of the system or component to function under stated conditions for a specified time or interval of time.

Rolls up the individual reliability to the system level, including systems modeling. Includes estimation, prevention modeling and management of high levels of "lifetime" engineering uncertainty and risks of failure

Create, review, and approve reliability planning, testing, and analysis activities within both New Product Introduction (NPI) and Installed Base (IB) program teams. Ensure quality and reliability requirements are incorporated into the product specifications and development procedures.

Leverage knowledge in advanced aspects of technical/functional areas and apply technical theory and practical experience with input from relevant functional areas to solve complex problems.

Work independently and possess a level of functional expertise necessary to influence and execute technical and project delivery execution.

Aware of and comply with the Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
Required Qualifications

6+ years of technical & professional experience in Medical Device Industry in the capacity of systems engineer/development engineer/Verification.
-
Overall 10+ years of experience is required for this role.
Education Qualification

Bachelor’s Engineering Degree in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
