The Role:
Our site in Aurora IL is seeking a Lead Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. The hired candidate in this role will own finished good production planning and support inventory management. They will be responsible for ensuring that product supply levels are set to achieve customer satisfaction and drive continuous improvement through planning/scheduling optimization, all while meeting the organization's operational and financial objectives.
What You’ll Do:

Responsible for developing and optimizing production plans to meet customer demand while maximizing resource utilization, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining cost efficiency

Manage production schedules, inventory levels, and capacity constraints within a manufacturing environment

Analyze production data, forecasting demand, managing material requirements planning (MRP), and coordinating with various departments to streamline operations and achieve production targets

Support a team-oriented culture with a focus on safety and quality.

Create and monitor cross-site transfer of materials.

Prioritize scheduling to ensure the production team can meet critical shipping deadlines

Determine labor and equipment needed to cover production demand; communicate constraints.

Identify and support continuous improvement projects to mitigate risk, improve service levels, and optimize inventory.

Prepare and present reports on current inventory positions, production output, and shelf-life expiration risks.

Monitor production progress and make adjustments to schedules as needed to meet deadlines

Optimize production capacity by balancing workload across production lines and workstations

Work on special projects and other duties as assigned.
What We Seek:

BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering required.

6-8 years of planning/supply chain work experience.

Experience in MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) required

Be a process-oriented thinker, capable of identifying and driving improvement efforts.

Be team-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, and have a strong drive to execute tasks

3-5 years ERP experience required; SAP preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Compensation: $84,000 - $105,000 Yearly Salary range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
