Dow has an opportunity for a Senior Supply Chain Planner located in São Paulo - SP (BRA).
About this role
Decides what, when and where to produce for multiple production sites or multiple plants at one site, within a single business or multiple smaller businesses. Balances supply and demand over the tactical horizon to achieve optimum product availability, asset utilization and supply chain efficiencies. Plant locations will be in a single region or a number of plants globally.
In this role, you will require understanding of key business drivers for your discipline and function. You will need to be able to expand conceptual and working knowledge related to your discipline or functional area. You are expected to provide informal guidance to new team members and be able to explain complex information to others.
It is your responsibility to use technical experience, established practices, and personal judgement to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work and your team’s work and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.
Responsibilities – Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role

Leads, develops, decides, communicates and implements tactical plans across the assigned plants – while maintaining strong linkage into Plants to ensure conformance to schedule and drive labor / capacity plans, and into Areas to secure customer service delivery

Develops plans to support new item introductions, ensuring product availability for all customers, as well as item discontinuations, mitigating product obsolescence

Determines and/or executes the most effective regional or global sourcing rules

Ensures that strategic and tactical business decisions are made with a full and integrated understanding of current and future supply chain capabilities, potential impacts to service, cost, working capital and sustainability, and effective risk management/mitigation

Develops external manufacturing agreements, or executes agreements already in place

Manages inventory levels to target expectations and customer service availability agreements

Establishes safety stock targets and manages supply plans against those targets

Supports preparation for the Supply Review by running and reviewing appropriate reports/KPIs and dashboards, to ensure a productive discussion and IBP process

Maintains strong linkages with Demand Manager and ensures full integration with Finance and Accounting

Owns supply-demand balances for assigned desk, drives resolution of strategic gaps and significant capacity challenges and develops sourcing strategies

Resolves issues or exceptions outside the business rules/boundaries and intervenes when needed to address performance gaps

Assesses short-term feasibility requests from all countries (where necessary)

Maintains and/or coordinates maintenance of planning parameters in accordance with master data governance

Drives continuous improvement by periodically reviewing and providing recommendations to enhance the distribution network, and by ensuring current manufacturing strategies are appropriate.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration or Engineering.

Fluent in English.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Planning Process, warehouse management and/or foreign trade.
