The Southeast Toyota Distributors (SET) strategy team plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of SET by facilitating the strategic planning and reporting processes across departments. The team focuses on aligning annual objectives and guiding SET’s multi-year strategy to ensure the business unit maintains its leadership position in the dynamic and rapidly evolving automotive industry. The Senior Strategy Analyst will play an essential role in executing SET’s strategic processes and developing high-impact strategic deliverables. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Gain a comprehensive operational knowledge of SET’s core business functions, processes, investments, and technologies. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business leaders to understand and influence the future direction of our business unit. 

  • Drive innovation and prepare the business unit for continued success in a competitive landscape. 

  • Develop and maintain SET’s aspirational goals, strategic roadmaps, and OKRs (Objective Key Results). 

  • Coordinate activities across departments, business units, and vendors to achieve strategic objectives. 

  • Partner with OKR champions to monitor monthly progress and prepare quarterly reports for SET leadership. 

  • Create high-visibility strategic presentations for events such as the annual Dealer Summit, Leadership Strategy Meeting, Trustee/Board Updates, and Long-Range Financial Planning sessions. 

  • Serve as a core member of cross-functional teams, influencing the execution of targeted business goals. 

  • Lead SET’s innovation efforts, including participation in JM Family’s annual DIBS (Doing It Better Showcase) program. 

  • Collaborate with JM Family’s Enterprise Strategy Team and prepare cross-business unit strategic planning deliverables. 

  • Provide strategic insights and thought leadership to drive innovation and forward-thinking. 

  • Research industry and business trends to inform and shape strategic deliverables. 

  • Build strong relationships across SET to enhance business acumen and drive collaboration. 

  • Develop polished presentations, documents, and reports to communicate effectively with stakeholders. 

  • Act as a trusted and collaborative team member, contributing to the success of SET’s strategic planning efforts. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 

  • 3+ years of operational or strategic planning experience required; 5+ years preferred. 

  • Experience in operations, business, and technology/data is a plus. 

  • Impressive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. 

  • Strategic thinking with analytical abilities to assess complex situations and develop effective outcomes. 

  • Ability to simplify complex information and craft compelling narratives. 

  • Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills. 

  • Executive presence with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes. 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic environment. 

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to self-reliantly create high-quality deliverables. 

  • Robust project management skills, capable of handling multiple initiatives simultaneously. 

  • Knowledge of SET operations and the automotive industry is a plus. 

  • Ability to work onsite at least three days per week, with additional days as needed.
