The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the planning, organizing, and execution of strategic procurement activities for direct purchases across multiple commodities within the guidelines of Beckman Coulter policies and procedures while supporting the operational and financial goals and objectives of the company and maintaining the highest ethical standards.

You will collaborate and contribute to Value Engineering initiatives, lead integration of appropriate supply base and provide Sourcing direction on hardware projects. This person has an internal drive to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership for our products and align our Sourcing Plans with our Corporate Global Commodity Strategies. This role will possess strong negotiating skills, contract management, and supplier development to achieve strategic objectives. They will be a dedicated liaison between Tactical Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Suppliers. They will be fluent in supplier capabilities and will build strong internal and external relationships.
 

This position is an on site position in the Strategic Procurement Department reporting to the Hardware Procurement Manager and be located in Chaska, MN. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Manage the sourcing of critical electronic components and commodities for production across multiple value streams.
• Drive targeted sustainable improvement in project and supplier OTD, Working Capital turns, Purchase Part Variance and related KPI’s/objectives by leveraging DBS tools, facilitation skills, and the change management process.
• Lead internal business and quality teams with material and process selection for purchases, locate and select suppliers per category strategies, negotiate pricing and terms, and develop and administer contracts for strategic suppliers.
• Follow material procurement and supplier management policies & procedures through SOP work instructions for supply chain.
• Benchmark and incorporate best practices from other Danaher locations and build business cases to prioritize investments and process improvements that drive continuous improvement.
   

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree required, with 5+ years’ sourcing experience OR Masters degree with 3+ years of experience
• Proven supplier negotiation skills with demonstrated performance results
• Strategic sourcing experience for a global manufacturing company with exposure to continuous improvement activities
• Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems: Oracle EBS and Oracle APS or Cloud working knowledge is preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office applications particularly Excel with the ability to learn new programs that are job specific.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CPM Certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of how to effectively operate in a regulated environment (FDA, GMED, NCIS etc.) and lean manufacturing processes.
• Expertise in the electronics supply market along with technical knowledge and ability to facilitate technical discussions with supplier.

The annual salary range for this role is $88,900–132,856. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
