DESCRIPTION OF ROLE: This position is contingent on award notification.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides executive level writing and editorial support for all correspondence and tasks.
- Provides authoritative guidance on editorial matters to personnel.
- Provide direct support to senior leaders in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment through analytical and critical thinking skills to identify needs and requirements, and to develop recommendations and solutions.
- Create communication strategies and materials that promote engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must Haves:
- Bachelors of Arts/Science degree in English, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in defense acquisition or other federal appropriation / authorization matters.
- Experience with NAVSEA, Congress, the Navy and Department of Defense.
- Experience managing multiple small- and large-scale projects that contribute to a larger strategic communications plan.
- Maintains awareness of current government writing and reporting style and format requirements.
