Be a part of our Core Banking Product Crew within Retail Technology. We are responsible for leading our retail end-to-end digital-first customer experience strategy, driving innovation, improving customer engagement and creating new business opportunities through partnerships, ventures and the Group’s digital ecosystem
Bring your expertise to develop and deliver the vision for our Customer Proposition Engine within the Core Banking Product Crew in Retail Technology.  This high availability, modernised platform powers many critical elements of the customer experience for our products

• Have hands-on experience of design, development, testing, deployment, support, and evaluation

• Demonstrated advanced proficiency in developing and deploying high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision.

• Are comfortable in analysing business objectives and translate requirements to technical implementation components

• Can provide accurate estimates for the development effort for new features

• Contribute to the strategic engineering goals within own team and platform

• Are passionate about learning new tools and technologies and are constantly thinking outside the box

• Have knowledge of applying and promoting industry best patterns and practices.

• Are comfortable in providing technical governance and guidance throughout the complete solution delivery lifecycle.

• Pride themselves in producing high-quality technical solutions that are sustainable by utilising approved delivery frameworks and using industry best practises.

• Have the ability to constructively challenge the status quo, while influencing stakeholders at various levels.

• Contribute to complex delivery planning by providing guidance and oversight to ensure that technical deliveries are aligned with engineering direction and strategy

• Collaborate with peers and help grow capabilities within the squad and across the crew

Tech skills

 We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but our Senior Staff Software Engineer should have diversified strengths and broad range of skillsets.

• REST APIs including creation of Open API specifications essential

• Microsoft .Net Framework

• Knowledge on API Gateway would be beneficial but not essential

• Experience in building modern microservices architecture

• Cloud platforms: AWS services is preferred

• Configuration as Code to manage application configuration

• Source control systems (Git), SAST/DAST, and with CI/CD toolsets

• Sound understanding of application and system security best practices
