Responsible for managing the physical Mark to market (MtM) quarterly and annual activities end to end and deliver within group timelines. Responsible for managing bio tickets inventory accounting for the trading entities quarterly and annually to deliver within group timelines
(ii) responsible for Settlement activities along with driving improvement initiatives in TSA team covering major Trading entity in WONA.
Purpose and Accountabilities:

Responsible for financial close activities for MtM activities and bio tickets inventory valuation for WONA Trading entities and along with managing any challenges in the Settlements.

Ensure accounting treatment of all new business deal scenarios are correctly done and adequately documented.

Responsible to operate Key RDS Sox control on the MTM process and inventory management and provide support to operate Payment control & also to ensure that all related controls managed within the process are executed properly.

Responsible to manage challenging issues in the MTM process and drive conversation with various stakeholders, FMs etc to arrive a solution independently on a timely basis

Responsible to manage the audit and interact with external audits to address the audit issues/queries

Responsible to drive expected correct WoW/Process with all stakeholders & track issues clearly to resolve them permanently.

Responsible to analyses working capital data for engagements with stakeholders including Senior management

Develop and maintain a strong relationship with Trading, Commercial Operations, Onshore Tag, Financial Reporting, and Finance Operations to ensure requirements and expectations as well as issues are captured, understood, and acted upon in a timely manner; keep abreast of new and changing business/markets.

Constant view to improve systems and processes with an aim towards elimination of manual data capture, improving reconciliation capabilities and continuing down the path of straight through processing.

Work with and support the wider team to ensure accuracy of the Financial Statements through timely and accurate recognition of expenses and revenue.

To approve Payment batches as per the MOA & adhere to related controls/compliance.

To support STM in daily control on AR Overdue situation and ensure timely debt collections/escalations

Additional responsibilities include project management, system upgrades, enhancement and testing

Support implementation of new business/projects and associated system/process changes.

To provide extensive support in IGPC reconciliation process during quarter ends and support team when its required.

To provide backup to another team leads in WONA C&P as & when required.

Periodic review and update of WI and exceptions list to ensure all the process exception and changes are captured and documented.

Communicate efficiently and effectively with wide range of stakeholders (internal and external to the Trading Business)

Support any new migration in the process with understanding the actual requirements.

To lead the team for ensuring achievement of Strategic, Managerial & Operational KPIs.

Review and challenge existing manual processes to ensure maximum benefit from the CI initiatives
Requirements

This role requires Qualified Accountant or equivalent related business degree.

In-depth IFRS knowledge and fair valuation accounting is required
-
Prior experience of Trading Business / system knowledge (Dex) would be preferred.

Strong computing skills (Excel, programming, VBA) and analytical abilities
-
Ability to identify risks in the process and work towards mitigating the risks.

Ability to manage complex accounting issues independently
-
Ability to work effectively and efficiently while under pressure and with competing priorities
-
Experience in Six-Sigma and/or other problem-solving methodologies to drive continuous improvement Strong analytical skills required, detail and accuracy oriented

Strong communications and interpersonal skills

Ability to drill down into complex data

Flexible to work in different shifts, on need basis to stretch during finance closure.
