WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and providing support for compute services across Pernod Ricard, including but not limited to on premise data centers, cloud data centers, server lifecycle management, server O/S support, backup, DRP, patching and compute security. They builds technical components for a given product, based on their area of expertise, securing alignment with business needs & Pernod Ricard tech standards (robustness & scalability of code, data governance & security guidelines...). They manage the development of tech elements from design to maintenance & continuous improvement, and contribute to transversal tech landscape optimization initiatives, alongside other Engineers.

  • Manage the global server infrastructure and enterprise SAN architecture, from design and architecture to build and run.
  • Assist the product owner in the continuous improvement of the product by integrating new compute technologies and recommending changes that support the business in meeting company goals.
  • Provide complete infrastructure support, including outside working hours for critical systems.
  • Participate in troubleshooting technical integrations across infrastructure, application, and platform teams, ensuring implementation aligns with design specifications.
  • Assist in developing standards, policies, and configuration guidelines, and document procedures for team review.
  • Design, implement, test and improve disaster recovery and business continuity processes at the infrastructure level.
  • Manage organization and inventory of all infrastructure hardware and software resources.
  • Conduct routine audits of infrastructure hardware and software to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Coordinate and implement infrastructure changes according to ITIL framework, independently managing changes in mission-critical functional areas while adhering to established designs and configurations.
  • Deploy server software installations, configurations, and upgrades across a diverse customer base initiatives...) as needed, and continuously develop their own skills based on industry trends/enterprise needs.
  • Following change management policy/procedure and proper documentation procedure.
  • Ensuring SLAs are met.
  • Standardizing with other chapter members to ensure the services are delivered the same way across products.

YOUR TEAM

  • Reporting Line (direct/indirect) :  Infrastructure Engineering Chapter lead (coordinate on defining comprehensive reference frameworks).
  • Key internal stakeholders : Product Owners, Other squad members (collaborate as part of the same agile squad), Other Chapter members (participate in transversal engineering initiatives, share best practices), Service Delivery Team (collaborate on incident resolution & on-site support required).
  • Key external stakeholders : Cloud/Infrastructure Vendors, Cloud/Infrastructure Managed Service Providers.

GEOGRAPHICAL SCOPE

  • Scope : Americas
  • Travel : Occasional (<10%)

YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

The extent of knowledge and expertise will be discussed  within the People Engagement Process and throughout the Onboarding phase.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Strong technical background, with deep expertise in infrastructure engineering.
  • 5+ years experience with managing Azure IaaS and PaaS, VMWare, Windows Server,  and Linux in a large enterprise organization.
  • 3+ years experience with Powershell and Linux shell scripting
  • Experience with Veeam and Tanium a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical & non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & teamwork, with the ability to work in an agile development environment.
  • Good industry knowledge and insights into key challenges for the domain/family.
  • Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
  • Experience with ITIL best practices for incident, change and problem management.

EDUCATION

  • Degree in a technology related field.
  • Certifications in cloud or above technologies a plus.
