Senior Specialist Category Management

The Global Procurement team will be structured with category teams having end to end accountability for category management, sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship management for assigned categories. These category teams will be enabled by procurement colleagues in an expanded Center of Excellence, an International Markets team, and a Capability Center all accountable for driving consistency and efficiency.

In this role typical day might include performing the following:

• Assists in preparing the appropriate micro and macro analysis and insights in support of strategy development for category management teams.

• Ensures consistency in the use of category management templates and analyses provided to category managers.

• Supports the sourcing process by assisting in the preparation of RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, and by leading the collection and analysis of responses.

• Supports and summarizes results from sourcing and SRM events with comparative analysis of responses, pricing, and evaluations.

• Archives category management materials including opportunity analyses, category plans and presentations and SRM materials.

• Contributes to continuous improvement of the source-to-contract process. This may include, but not limited to, responding to audit information requests, participating in compliance reviews, suggesting improvements to Global Procurement processes, policies, tools, templates, and training materials.

• May support strategies for non-managed/developing categories and subcategories, as the need arises.

This job might be for you if you:

• The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus relevant experience in procurement, preferably including experience in Pharma/BioPharma. 

• 5+yrs of experience into Category Management

• Solid understanding of category management fields covering sourcing, procurement, planning, supplier interactions and negotiations.

• Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle; and S2P platforms (Oracle, Zycus, GEP, Ariba, Other) preferred.

• Strong skills working with spend analytic software and professional office applications such as MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

• Excellent English language verbal, and written skills.
