OUR ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic global Senior Sourcing Manager, 3PM to lead the development and execution of our global sourcing strategy for all 3rd party manufacturing activities related to high end Textile, Fragrance and Candles. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the efficient sourcing and management of external manufacturing partners, driving cost efficiencies, quality improvements, and innovation throughout the supply chain and textile business. You will oversee global category managers and sourcing teams, aligning sourcing activities with business goals and market dynamics to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Your expertise will be crucial in the strategic sourcing, collaborating with cross functional teams to evaluate and determine the optimal manufacturing strategy. Leading a team of Regional Sourcing Managers, you’ll develop category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and implement cost saving initiatives tailored to regional market dynamics while leading strategic negotiations. In this role, you'll work closely with logistics, raw materials, and other internal functions, fostering collaboration across departments to drive efficiency and competitive advantages. You will also cultivate strategic partnerships with key suppliers, ensuring alignment with our overarching business objectives. Your efforts will not only enhance sourcing processes but also contribute to our mission of delivering high quality products that resonate with consumers globally.

Reporting to our Vice President, Sourcing, this full time, hybrid positing can be based in Paris, Copenhagen, Stockholm, or Helsinki.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AT FISKARS GROUP?

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Sourcing Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive global sourcing strategy for 3rd party manufacturing that aligns with the company’s business objectives.

  • Supplier Management: Identify and manage relationships with key 3rd party manufacturers to ensure reliable supply, cost competitiveness, and high quality standards, while negotiating favorable contracts

  • Cost Management: Drive cost saving initiatives and continuous improvement programs across the manufacturing supply base, while analyzing market trends to identify opportunities for value creation

  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that suppliers meet the company’s quality standards and regulatory requirements, implementing robust performance management systems

  • Risk Management: Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies to address potential supply chain disruptions, conducting regular assessments and maintaining contingency plans for critical suppliers

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing global sourcing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, while setting performance objectives and conducting evaluations

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Designers, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales, to align sourcing strategies with business needs, serving as the primary point of contact for sourcing activities

  • Data Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to drive informed decision making and implement sourcing technologies to enhance efficiency and transparency in sourcing processes

WHO YOU ARE?

Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, , or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in sourcing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on high end textile strategically sourcing and overseeing 3rd party manufacturing

  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Strong strategic negotiation skills and experience in contract management

  •  Leadership Abilities: Excellent leadership skills with proven team management capabilities

  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities to drive informed decision making

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively in a global, matrixed organization

  • Cultural Awareness: Strong cultural awareness and experience working effectively in diverse, global environments

  • Technical Understanding: Ability to comprehend and discuss technical specifications and quality standards relevant to sourcing

  • Regional Knowledge: Understanding of regional business practices and communication styles to enhance collaboration with local teams highly favorable
