What you'll be doing

This Solutions Engineer role, similar to a Sales Engineer or Solutions Consultant, sits within Alloy's pre-sales organisation. You will be a partner who works closely with your account executives to close deals. While an account executive is managing the relationship and taking care of the business requirements, you will be working closely with technical stakeholders to clear any technical hurdles. This includes custom demos, building and walking through UAT environments, designing and managing proof of concept exercises, architecture and security reviews, and ultimately scoping out your proposed solution to hand over to the implementation team.

Who we’re looking for

Reporting to the Head of Solutions Engineering UK/EMEA, Alloy is looking for a Solutions Engineer with 3+ years direct experience in a technical presales role. As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a critical role as a technical expert on our EMEA SE Team, aligning Alloys solutions to customers’ business challenges. Successful SEs also demonstrate Alloy core values. 

Someone who will stand out likely has many of the following skills and experience: 

  • 3+ years of direct experience working in a Solutions Engineering presales role, supporting a technical product and complex enterprise sales process 
  • Comfortable working in small team in scrappy environment, with a rapidly evolving Product set
  • Any Experience or Knowledge in KYC/KYB, AML regulations, fintech, banking or the fraud and identity landscape.
  • Experience selling to financially regulated businesses
  • Superior communication skills and a proven ability to convey intricate technical requirements and ideas to both tech savvy and business-minded audiences
  • Experience in identifying customer pain points and mapping them to tailored solutions
  • Experience and comfort being the bridge between sales, product, engineering, and professional services
  • Comfort working in ambiguity while maintaining integrity
  • Experience with any object oriented programming language, or as minimum, solid experience with API driven products.
  • Ability to travel within EU/EMEA as well as to America for occasional team events and training

This position has a salary range of £85,000 to £100,000. The base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and region. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for equity awards in the form of stock options (ISOs).
