As a Senior Solution Design Engineer, you will collaborate with Sales, Solution Development, Procurement and Implementation teams, utilizing the latest cost methodologies to solidify customer requirements and determine the scope of large-scale material handling systems. This role will be pivotal in providing customers with high quality solutions on time and on budget.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $82,000 - $166,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will do in This Role:

Review requirements from customer/sales team and closely collaborate with relevant internal/external stakeholder to generate executable system concepts.

Lead team members, create 3D models and generate proposal drawings to achieve concept freeze.

Train and mentor junior level team members on technology best practices.

Review systems design generated by junior engineers, identify opportunities for improvement and provide constructive feedback.

Actively engage internal subject matter experts to validate concept feasibility and relevant risks.

Identify alternate design solutions and collaborate with internal stakeholder for potential proposal consideration.

Standardize best practices and support department initiatives.

Produce material lists and project scope of work summaries.

Submit quote request and validate vendor quotes in conjunction with procurement teams.

Collaborate with vendors to identify design concept and opportunities.

Define and apply standard subsystems, designs, and modules to solutions where appropriate.

Identify relevant project risks and assist with generation of mitigation strategies.

Establish priorities and promote effective interaction between departments.

Lead technical reviews and pricing reviews.

Create cost breakouts and bridging as required.

Responsible for all project engineering efforts for assigned projects.

Capable of recognizing and understanding when to apply standard subsystems and modules.

Able to apply value engineering principals to optimize the effectiveness of the system where possible.

Accountable for technical, cost, and contracting aspects of projects and serves as a key contact for intra-company departments and vendors.

Thoroughly understand customer Request For Proposals (RFP's), specifications and requirements.

Ensure compliance of Solution Development project process.
What We are Looking For:

8+ Years Industry Experience in Systems Engineering, Application Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.

Project Management experience with large scale projects and teams.
-
Hands on experience with Case Conveyor, PLC Control Systems, and WMS/WCS Software are required.

Exposure to Linear Sortation, Crossbelt Sortation, and Bulk Handling systems preferred.

Knowledge of ASRS & Unit Load, Pallet Conveyor, Monorail, Autostore, and Structural Experience.
