About the job

In this role, you'll work closely with a skilled team of developers and testers to ensure the reliability and performance of our backend systems. These systems handle the configuration and management of smart devices connected to our central alarm units—adding, replacing, updating, and deleting devices in a secure and seamless way.
 

What You'll Do

• Take the lead in assuring quality across our Java-based backend systems
• Design and execute both manual and automated tests, with a strong focus on API testing and integration validation
• Develop test strategies and implement robust automated test frameworks
• Contribute to our CI/CD processes with deployment, debugging, and monitoring
• Collaborate with senior engineers to evolve our test automation landscape and ensure our services are scalable and high-performing

You will be joining a collaborative team of 15 skilled and fun colleagues, led by Annette Skog, a supportive and caring leader who always trusts her team to do their best. About you

We believe you’re an experienced and curious test engineer with a strong technical background. You enjoy solving complex challenges and take pride in crafting efficient, high-quality testing processes. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to learn, improve, and contribute to the team’s success.
 

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience with Python
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, Appium, or similar)
• Comfortable using Git and Bitbucket as your main IDE
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
• Experience using API testing tools like Insomnia, Postman, or similar
   

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of or experience with Kubernetes
• Experience working with Java (especially if you’ve done Java development)
• Familiarity with Jira and related project tools
