About the Role:
As a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer, you will take on more advanced testing responsibilities and contribute significantly to our quality assurance efforts. Your expertise will help create robust test automation solutions, ensuring software reliability and performance. You will play a crucial role in mentoring junior team members and driving continuous improvement in our testing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using C# for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Develop and implement automation frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Write and execute API test cases to ensure the integrity, reliability, and performance of RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application architecture and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.
- Continuously improve the test automation framework and processes for increased efficiency.
- Participate in sprint planning and review meetings to ensure testing requirements are well-defined.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation for test plans, test cases, and test results.
- Provide timely and accurate reports on testing progress, results, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Skills:
- Proven experience as an Automation Engineer, preferably with C# and .NET technologies.
- Strong experience in API testing, specifically with REST APIs (knowledge of tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured is a plus).
- Solid understanding of test automation frameworks, design patterns, and best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (C#, JavaScript, or others).
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Knowledge of testing tools like Selenium WebDriver, NUnit, xUnit, or other test automation frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
