The Opportunity

The International Strategy & Product Management (ISPM) team is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to lead a highly efficient team. You will play a crucial role in improving product quality and ensuring smooth feature introductions, while also taking cultural factors into account for successful implementation in different regions.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high quality application releases for global markets. Working closely with the International Product Manager, you will assess product readiness for each regional market, prioritize testing efforts, and develop a testing strategy to meet the specific needs of users in each region to ensure a consistently high level of product quality. The position will also work with engineering teams to identify and resolve defects and develop comprehensive testing strategies across multiple functions.

Working with the Globalization team, you will drive continuous quality improvement and streamline release cycles by performing automated, performance, and regression testing. Additionally, collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure strong quality assurance in support of business growth, particularly in the emerging field of generative AI.

What you'll Do

  • Collaboratively drive and lead features to success, harmonizing goals for product/design and time to market with high quality.
  • Collaborate with quality engineers, development managers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to develop products that meet the unique needs of each market.
  • Strategically plan and direct service and client automation efforts, accelerating testing speed and efficiency through multi-functional collaboration.
  • Continuously assess and improve team productivity, optimizing processes to scale testing efforts.
  • Mentor and develop quality engineers, fostering career growth and building a culture of innovation.
  • Encourage a quality-first mentality in agile products to guarantee that Adobe products excel in the industry and surpass customer expectations.
     

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and mentor a team of test quality engineers, fostering skills in automation.
  • Establish quality and automation practices, implementing process changes to scale testing efforts.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, PM, and Design teams to ensure comprehensive QA coverage and address quality issues.
  • Apply suitable testing methodologies to ensure the quality of the product.
  • Help prioritize tasks, remove roadblocks, and ensure timely, high-quality releases.
  • Develop metrics to measure product performance and support customer engagement activities.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Proficient in Japanese (native) and English (business level).
  • BS/MS in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • 14+ years in quality engineering or software development, including 4+ years in engineering management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Experience working with developers in dynamic environments.
  • Knowledge of various testing methodologies and hands-on experience with cross-platform mobile app development (Android, iOS, etc.).
