About the role
As a Project Manager, you will ensure the success of projects through planning and managing the budget, scope, schedule, and quality of your projects. Additionally, while fulfilling the responsibilities of a scrum master, it is crucial to manage risks, remove impediments, and build trust among your stakeholders through effective communication and a dedicated commitment to executing project management and scrum master duties.
Responsibilities
- Managing software development from beginning to end using agile methods.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables to support client business needs in collaboration with management and all stakeholders
- Create project plans, scope documents, schedules, and forecasts. Provide timely communication on the impact of changes and decisions
- Identify, track, mitigate, and report on risks to all stakeholders
- Effectively communicate project expectations and status to team members and stakeholders
- Draft and submit budget proposals, manage the project to the client’s budget, and recommend budget changes when necessary
- Build, develop, and grow relationships with clients and team members
- Manage, coach, mentor, and motivate project team members
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an IT project manager
- 3+ years of experience managing mobile application development
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Superior problem-solving skills: able to quickly assess a situation and devise a solution before an issue turns into a problem
- Able to manage software development projects for multiple clients simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines and cultures
- Agile / Scrum Master experience
- Profound knowledge of Scrum development methodology
A significant advantage would be
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience managing distributed or offshore teams
- Experience scaling Scrum
- Working knowledge of software development lifecycle and web and/or mobile technologies
