Your Opportunity
New Relic is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Java Spring Boot, React, and experience in any of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure etc) in supporting our FinOps Organization. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based applications and microservices. The focus will be on creating high-performance, scalable solutions from scratch.
As the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software solutions. You will lead software development projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java Spring Boot for back-end and React for front-end technologies.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to a team of software engineers. Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices and coding standards are adhered to.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
This role requires
- Full stack Engineer with 5+ years coding experience on Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate and ReactJS
- Cloud environment experience : AWS/Azure/GCP
- Expertise in architecting and building Web Services and databases Cassandra, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Aurora)
- 5+ years hands-on experience of developing micro services
- 3+ years hands-on experience deploying and running workloads on AWS
- Expertise in Kubernetes
- Experience with automation and Orchestration tools
- Built enterprise products from scratch, worked at product based companies
- Mentor junior Engineers on the team
- Has a high bar on Design, Architecture for scalable systems
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI etc
Bonus points if you have
- Experience with FinOps industry and best practices
- FinOps Certified Practitioner preferred Infrastructure Cost and efficiency
- Cloud cost optimization
