POSITION SUMMARY
We seek an experienced, passionate, and resourceful Senior Web Engineer to help transform our web application from its MVP phase to a scalable, robust, and maintainable product. As a key contributor to our frontend engineering team, you will optimize performance, drive architectural improvements, and deliver high-quality user experiences for our Cash Out product, used by millions. Given our strong backend foundations, experience with full-stack development is a huge plus.
This position will ideally be hybrid from our Mexico City office as part of our expanding site, though a remote arrangement is possible. EarnIn provides excellent employee benefits, including healthcare, internet/cell phone reimbursement, a learning and development stipend, and potential opportunities to travel to our Palo Alto HQ. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead the transformation of our web app from an MVP to a scalable, enterprise-grade solution.
- Drive web performance optimization initiatives and establish benchmarks for future excellence.
- Develop and deliver new features with end-to-end ownership, ensuring high usability and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers to design efficient APIs and data-fetching strategies.
- Work with web platform engineers to deliver and uphold enterprise-grade architecture standards.
- Debug production issues across multiple stack layers, ensuring system stability and reliability.
- Conduct code, design, and architecture reviews and promoted best practices.
- Work cross-functionally with design, product, marketing, and analytics teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining React + TypeScript web applications in a large-scale engineering environment.
- Proven ability to lead or collaborate with the team to evolve an MVP into a scalable solution.
- Proficient in React and TypeScript, with a strong understanding of component-based architecture and state management (e.g., Redux, Recoil, Zustand).
- Full-stack development experience is a huge plus, especially with backend technologies like C#, Kotlin, Java, Python, or Go.
- Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL into web applications.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a bias towards action and results.
- Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, and containerization is a strong plus.
