Responsibilities
- Translate UI/UX design wireframes to code that will provide the User interface for the application
- Work with UI/UX designer to convert graphical designs to technical implementation
- Work with backend engineers to understand the application functionality and build the user facing interface
- Optimize application for performance and scalability
- Build modular layouts, reusable code and libraries for future development
- Write design specifications for the various components of the user interface
- Implement asynchronous request handling, partial page updates using client-side scripting and JavaScript framework such as Backbone and AngularJS
- Implement cross-browser compatible code
- Implement dynamic web pages using WEbsockets
- Understand and implement REST APIs
- Collaborate with global development teams
- Drive and champion the culture of performance, maintainability, quality and automation in the team
- Research latest technologies related to UI/UX
- Review code written by other team members
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2 years of related experience (work experience and/or internships)
- Deep understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone and AngularJS
- Understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX
- Knowledge and understanding of REST APIs
