Job Description
What you get to do in this role:

• Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and reusable code while adhering to best practices in software architecture, code reviews, and testing.
• Will become an expert on our Client Side Scripting API and various UI
• Collaborate with product owners to analyze detailed requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions, from design to production deployment.
• Develop robust, user-friendly software that empowers customers to customize and extend ServiceNow functionality seamlessly.
• Drive innovation by contributing to the design and implementation of new products, features, and enhancements to the existing suite.
• Manage and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
• Architect and implement end-to-end solutions, including frontend UI components, backend services, and database design.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production and non-production environments.
• Ensure high performance and scalability by optimizing code, database queries, and application architecture.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, to ensure alignment and progress across the team.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and frameworks to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, product managers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software.
• Develop reusable frameworks, libraries, and tools to streamline development processes and improve team efficiency.
• Define and enforce coding standards and best practices to maintain code quality across the team.
• Work with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and influence architectural decisions that align with business goals.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
• 4+ years of professional experience in software development, with expertise in Java or a similar object-oriented language.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with a passion for modern web technologies, reusable components, and scalable architectures.
• In-depth understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and performance optimization.
• Proven experience with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• A solid understanding of full-stack development, including backend services, APIs, and database integration.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and system design skills, with a focus on scalability and performance.
• A commitment to mentoring junior engineers and promoting a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools for both unit and end-to-end testing (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Selenium).
• Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git.

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $126,700 - $215,400, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
