Job Description

• Design, build and maintain software for our industry-leading DNA sequencing instruments and /or informatics systems.

• Work in a scrum team of developers, testers and domain experts

• Drive and lead engineering standards, tooling, processes and best practices

• Mentor junior engineers in growing their software engineering craft

  • PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch

Who we’re looking for:

• Strong development experience in designing and building APIs and services. Proficient in C#, Java or Python or have a strong willingness and aptitude to learn them.

• Good working knowledge of containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker

• Able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely in discussions and writings

• Prefer simple solutions over complex ones

• Passionate in raising the engineering capabilities of the team through various means such as mentoring, introducing best practices, etc.

• Be curious and analytical, with a proven ability to learn quickly

• Proactive and team-oriented with strong collaboration skills; comfortable working across functions and time zones

• Stay technically curious and updated with emerging software development trends and technologies
