About Team:
Building the right technology foundation for Infrastructure & platforms is vital to success at the scale of Walmart. Our team builds and maintains the foundational technologies that support the tech organization. Included in this are data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure. All of these products and services are supported by scalable and powerful infrastructure, ensuring a secure and seamless employee and customer experience across stores, digital channels, and distribution centers.
What you'll do:
- Architect, design, and implement large-scale distributed systems with a focus on OLTP and NoSQL databases. Ensure systems meet strict SLAs for performance, availability, and reliability.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of DevOps principles and practices for managing large-scale distributed systems. Implement automation, monitoring, and orchestration for seamless system operations.
- Possess a strong understanding of query optimization techniques for improving system performance. Implement cost optimization strategies for efficient resource utilization.
- Contribute to the development of control planes for managing distributed systems. Implement robust control mechanisms for system monitoring, configuration, and orchestration
- Design and implement systems with a focus on resilience, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery. Identify and address potential points of failure to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Design and build managed services infrastructure at scale, catering to diverse user needs. Ensure the scalability and reliability of managed services in both public and private cloud environments (e.g., Azure, GCP) and on-premise.
- Experience working on public and private cloud platforms, including Azure, GCP, and on-premise environments. Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, containerization, and microservices architecture.
