We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer with expertise in .NET technologies (75% VB.NET, 25% C#) and SQL Server. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications using .NET Framework Webforms and Winforms. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the CTO, Manager of Application Development, and the Product/Engineering team to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using the .NET Framework (75% VB.NET, 25% C#).
  • Implement and maintain software development best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and agile development methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to ensure high-quality, efficient, and scalable software solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong proficiency in developing and maintaining applications using .NET Framework Webforms and Winforms (75% VB.NET, 25% C#).
  • Experience with SQL Server, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and optimizing database performance.
  • Familiarity with unit testing, agile methodologies, and version control (Git/TFS).
  • Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code efficiently, ensuring high-quality software solutions.
  • Strong ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Communicates clearly and collaborates effectively with team members and stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development using .NET technologies (VB.NET and C#).
  • Proficiency in SQL Server, including experience with stored procedures and query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET Framework Webforms and Winforms.
  • Familiarity with building and consuming REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices including unit testing, API design, and version control.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Azure is a plus.
  • Experience developing point of sale software systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance considerations is a plus.
