Job Description Summary :
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be working as part of an agile team, you will be responsible for build and manage the infrastructure with Terraform, configure/update the monitors to identify the issues and act immediately. Should be responsible to follow the security standards and automate to optimize the cost.
Your will be working on the core devops pillars across multiple applications in the Middle Office application team in Google Cloud. Configure/manage the CI/CD pipelines, build and manage the infrastructure using the terraform cloud by following the D&B standards, configure the synthetic and observability monitors in Splunk (rigor, Splunk observability). proactively monitor the system and Support Production issues if required.
The role involves participating in scrum meetings, identify the devops tasks in spring planning, and bring up innovative ideas in achieving the team goals. Focus on release commitments, and optimize the infrastructure cost by automating the infrastructure capacity depending the demand. The candidate will collaborate closely with internal Dev team, Technology Cloud Ops and SRE teams as well as engage directly with integrated application teams
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the end-to-end operational management of cloud data platform, adhering to required CloudOps and governance practices.
- Manage the standards for our Github projects.
- Create & manage infrastructure with Terraform scripts.
- Create and manage the CI/CD pipelines using harness.
- Responsible for configuring the monitors and Alerts.
- Involve in the Production issues, identify the root cause and quickly fix the Prod issue.
- Monitor the infrastructure cost and look for the possible cost optimization.
- Participate in architectural and sprint planning meetings, identify any gaps in the early stages.
Key Requirements :
- 5+ years of experience within a similar position
- Strong Terraform, CI/CD, Python, Kubernetes, shell scripting and SQL is a minimum requirement, experience with using these technologies to create and manage the infrastructure and deployments is preferred.
- Experience with cloud platform, GCP is preferred.
- Passionate and curious about DevOps technologies with the ability to automate the operational requirements, fact- based decisions, communicated to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Experience in various DevOps tools for Java application is preferred, areas such as build and deployment, integration with various cloud resources.
- Strong knowledge of various monitors setup to pro-actively monitor the application.
- Experience working in agile teams and SCRUM methodology
