As a Senior Software Engineer you will be primarily responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the Dynata’s core applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications using JAVA and Spring
- Learn core business processes, mentor software engineers within the team, perform code reviews and continually look to improve our software development lifecycle
- Manage and deploy applications on AWS and monitoring them
- Troubleshoot, optimize and enhance application performance and scalability
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge of Java (16+), Spring framework, JPA
- Strong knowledge of Relational databases
- Strong knowledge of AWS services
- Team player capable of working independently while mentoring and assisting other team members
- Ambitious in the field of computer science and capable of learning new concepts, technologies, programming languages, and software development lifecycles.
- Ability and willing to learn core business processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Experience with messaging queues
- Experience with micro-services architectures, distributed systems and RESTful APIs
NICE TO HAVE
- Knowledge of key-value caches (pref. REDIS)
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (pref. DynamoDB)
- Knowledge of Python
- Knowledge of database migration tools (pref. Luquibase, Flyway)
- Understanding of containerization (pref. Docker)
Location: Remote (within Hungary) or Hybrid (at our office in Debrecen).
Please note that this is a full-time position, not a contractor role, and requires candidates to be based in Hungary with the legal right to work.
