Job Description
The Team
At SEEK, our teams build products and solutions for internal and external customers across the SEEK Group. Teams are typically split into cross-functional, multi-disciplinary squads that work within an APAC matrix organisational structure.
The custodial teams typically have a specific internal or external customer base within the marketplace they own and operate in e.g., Candidate, Hirer, AIPS, Engineering Platforms etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead other engineers to build, test, deploy, and maintain software from development through to production
- Drive the development of software, strengthening current Software Engineering best practices to ensure they are fit for purpose
- Build and maintain tools for provisioning, automation, and platform health improvement.
- Enhance platform reliability, resilience, and efficiency through best practices.
- Mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and contribute to the team’s professional growth.
- Drive modern CI/CD practices, secure coding standards, and best-in-class solutions.
- Engage broadly with stakeholders to ensure platform solutions meet diverse needs.
Qualifications
Experience & Skills Required
- Has created and maintained software in two or more modern software development languages
- Demonstrated experience consistently writing well-tested, readable software, using secure coding practices, current patterns, and tooling
- Strong mindset and experience in Platform Engineering, with excellent hands-on programming expertise
- Proficiency in AWS, Kubernetes (Argo CD preferred), and languages like Go, Python, and JavaScript.
- Experience with CI/CD ecosystems (e.g., Buildkite, GitHub, Artifact Management Systems) and modern design patterns.
- Proven track record of delivering scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions.
