As an ESS Global ID&F Software Engineer you will be a critical stakeholder in the development and release of our ID&F products. You will be providing full stack development support focused on deployment, automation & product support acting as an ID&F product technical expert in the operational and support space.
You will also be a trusted advisor to regional delivery and support teams representing them during the software development lifecycle, providing operational guidance, product consultancy and supporting client incidents.
This role contributes towards the success of the ID&F business through automation and innovation improvements, internal knowledge-sharing activities (i.e., product improvements, documentation optimization, enhancing product deliverability through technical input and customer advocacy) and through being continually curious and striving to understand the customers product needs, challenges, and issues.
What skills needed to perform this job?
- 8 to 10+ years of Software Engineering with 3 – 5+ years in Cloud engineering.
- Ability to drive SaaS and on-prem deliveries and client implementation, specifically technical engineering aspects with experience desired in the following areas:
- Experience with cloud services, deployment, and management (AWS inclusive of scaling, tuning, CI/CD deployment practices)
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD (Git/Jenkins/Ansible/Terraform/etc)
- Experience using alerting & monitoring solutions (Splunk, DynaTrace, Grafana)
- Understanding of XML, JSON, Swagger
- Platform Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes/EKS/Kafka
- Experience with API test tools such as Bruno / Postman / SOAP UI
- Experience with UNIX and Windows OS and shell scripting
- Ability to deliver and troubleshoot SaaS and on-prem/hosted solutions:
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to shape and drive acceleration of outcomes through critical thinking
- Ability to comprehend detailed project specifications with the need to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong working knowledge in continuous optimization of AWS resources for performance, cost, and reliability. This may involve analyzing usage patterns, implementing caching strategies, and scaling resources as needed.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, application architects and engineering managers to design and implement solutions and align on design decisions.
- Ability to research, evaluate and select the right solutions from new and existing tools.
- Ability to drive technical decisions and initiatives to streamline our cloud infrastructure operations, security, and efficiency.
- Ability to support the extended engineering team in troubleshooting Infrastructure code failures.
- Ability to guide the team through solving complex infrastructure challenges.
- Ability to assess deficiencies and points of failure in our system and design resolutions.
- Willingness to help the team adopt new technologies on an ongoing basis, to solve complex problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and great attention to detail.
- Experience with observability solutions
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Industry experience in the Identity and Fraud space
- Examples of customer-value driven agile working and rapid prototyping.
- Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with GenAI
- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams
- Experience using and querying databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL

- Bachelor's degree desirable in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline and knowledge of relevant modern technology with proven track record.
