Senior Software Engineer - Core Logistics Abilities (all genders)

Join our Logistics “Core Abilities (Warehouse Management System)” Engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer and help us deliver a high-performance, stable, auto-scaling software system that will have a direct impact on our customers’ happiness.

As a member of our team, you will have the chance to play a critical role in the development of our next-generation Warehouse Management System, which is responsible for handling the delivery of countless products to our customers. You'll be working alongside a group of talented engineers to create innovative solutions for managing orders, products, and physical entities as well as processes & tools for workflow management & optimization of the workflow within our warehouses.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• Actively participate in each stage of the development cycle - from solution design to implementation, testing, and operating your code in an agile environment

• Play a main role in the design, development, and deployment of the teams' systems which are used by our colleagues in our logistics centers  

• Design, build, and maintain software architecture for products that evolve over time while closely collaborating with Engineering Managers and Product Managers to be in line with our overall tech strategy and architecture

• Continuously ship high-quality quality testable and reliable systems, and support others to do so through reviews and mentorship

• Iteratively test features with stakeholders whilst keeping the big picture in mind

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF…

• You have experience with JVM-based languages such as Java or Kotlin. Proficiency in the Spring Boot framework is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with Scala and the Play Framework would be considered a valuable plus.

• Proven experience in designing and leading the development of large-scale, distributed software applications

• Hands-on experience with microservices and cloud architectures. 

• Solid experience in leveraging Kubernetes to deploy and manage applications

• Expertise in advanced architecture/design patterns, data modeling, API specifications, and ensuring software quality.

• Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, and data modeling for complex systems 

• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on applying logical and analytical thinking to complex challenges.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor team members.

• Proficient in identifying and solving production-related issues and bottlenecks in systems.
