About the role:
Our engineering team’s goal is to start and end with the customer in mind. We are looking for a team member who can find a problem and solve both the product and technical challenges. We aim to balance testing new ideas quickly, while also doubling down on what works and building a high quality product. Our team believes in high agency and ownership over what we ship without going overboard on processes and meetings.
As we scale our platform, we are looking for a Software Engineer to own our payments and brokerage systems. The ideal candidate will build a solution to process and track payments across multiple banking providers and custodians, and handle a variety of investment flows. Experience working in fintech, payment processing or accounting software is required.
You will:

Work in person out of our Brooklyn office in Williamsburg.

Build a scalable ledger solution to track money transfers from various sources to multiple investment custodians.

Making the right tradeoffs to account for stability and long-term maintainability.

Take a product idea and turn it into a feature complete product for our customers. Including writing PRDs, TDDs, and testing plans.

Help automate manual operations processes to be able to scale our product to thousands of customers.

Serve as a mentor to the team on best code quality and practices so we can continue to grow and scale.
Qualifications:

6+ years of backend and payments engineering experience

Comfortable with Typescript, Python and working across the stack

Fintech experience

Bonus: Experience with React and Node.js
