As a Software Engineer, you must possess world class technical skills and a strong sense of empathy for your fellow developers. You will work closely with other talented engineers, architects and stakeholders to architect, implement, and d eliver on our roadmap.

Build and maintain observability and reliability of our services.

Participate in a 24/7, follow the sun on call model for production incident management including weekends and holidays.

Drive product roadmaps and migration plans to achieve strategic goals.

Bring thought leadership to all facets of our development environment (architecture, process, tools, technologies) and help the company set technical direction.

Collaborate across the enterprise to drive consensus and understanding.
Qualifications and Experience
-
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
-
6+ years of professional software development experience.
-
Experience delivering large and small codebases across multiple languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, typescript, React etc.

Strongly held test practices regardless of language or tools.
-
Record of delivering documentation alongside code using frameworks such as Markdown.

Deep knowledge of source control, branching & release strategies, pull requests and automated quality gates using tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.

Demonstrate deep experience in rethinking/reimagining existing product/platform architectures as they migrate to the cloud. This includes decomposing monoliths, scalability, resiliency, observability, and security.

Ability to articulate and implement a vision while inspiring our large developer community to join forces.

Passion for learning and problem solving

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in public cloud (AWS) in building services using cloud native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, serverless, etc.

Production experience building and operating Kubernetes clusters in public cloud.
-
Experience monitoring infrastructure with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Splunk, ELK etc.
-
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, experience with on-call rotation and incident management.
