As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), Data, you will impact the quality of the billions of records at Spokeo. You will collaborate with Data Engineering to develop test strategies and test plans and create test data for business logic data pipelines. You'll have the latest tools to use: Airflow, Spark, and AWS. Responsibilities:

Examine business requirements and create test plans/data to ensure that source-to-target business logic is implemented as expected.

Create detailed and well-structured integration and black box test suites using programming languages like Python or Ruby.

Review acceptance criteria for user stories & ensure required test coverage.

Collaborate with the Development team to improve test automation strategies and deploy reliable and efficient technology.

Own the defect management lifecycle.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Must have solid data/analytical review skills.

2+ years of experience in ETL Testing
-
5+ years of work experience in software development and quality assurance.

Ability to debug/troubleshoot large sets of data or format-related issues.

Familiarity and work experience with the following frameworks: Pytest, Pyspark, Pandas, Airflow

Working knowledge of AWS technologies e.g. (S3, EC2, DynamoDB, Redshift, Athena)

Strong Linux background.

Strong SQL experience and experience with creating sample test / mock data from large data sets.

Experience with or good understanding of data profiling.

Familiarity and experience with API testing automation.
