Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Engineer with experience in M&E, specially in the Streaming and VOD services to join our team. You will partner with Solution Owners to deliver complex solutions using Agile methodologies and a strong foundation in Cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership and Agile Practices:

• Collaborate with Solution Owners to lead the engineering team in implementing Agile practices (e.g., Scrum) for efficient project delivery.
• Break down business requirements into clear, technical user stories for development.
• Be a Subject Matter Expert in the M&E space for Streaming and VOD platform services.
• Champion Agile methodologies and ensure effective use of tools for planning, prioritization, and development.

Technical Expertise and Architecture:

• Architect detailed technical solutions for assigned functionalities, aligning with project scope and domain.
• Leverage your experience with different AWS Cloud services (listed below) to build robust and scalable solutions.

Coding and Collaboration:

• Develop high-quality code that meets acceptance criteria and adheres to the team's defined coding standards.
• Collaborate effectively with other engineers to maximize team velocity and knowledge sharing.
• Possess strong programming skills in at least one of the following: Java, Python.

Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:

• Create comprehensive documentation and runbooks for delivered code and architectures, ensuring clarity for ongoing maintenance and future reference.

Are You a Fit?

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a software engineer with a proven track record of success in leading technical teams.
  Strong understanding of M&E VOD and Streaming flows and services and experience in applying them to deliver projects.
  In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud services, including:
  Proficiency working with AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, AWS Step Functions, Amazon SQS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, CI/CD frameworks (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy)
  If you also know Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, Elastic Search, it will be awesome!
  Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with Solution Owners, architects, and development teams.
  Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications.
  Experience with SQL database management.
  Experience developing quality code.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in a technical consulting environment.
• Certifications in AWS services (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles is a plus.
• Experience with OpenSearch or similar search and analytics engines.
