General Function/Role Purpose:
The Senior SDET in the core infra team is responsible for developing automation infrastructure and leveraging their knowledge and experience in improving the infrastructure design, promoting best practices, introducing stability and velocity improvements strategies, testability, and other advanced quality concepts across products. The main purpose of this role is to work on developing automation infrastructure for the quality and Dev engineers for enabling better automation testing.
What You'll do:
- Define, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure components.
- Demonstrate exceptional ability to isolate and troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging software development methodologies.
- Work directly with Quality and Engineering teams to identify and exercise coding standards that allow Quality Engineering to maintain robust automation.
- Collaborate with other Quality Automation Engineers on major initiatives, mentoring and support.
- Contribute both to the definition and the enforcement of quality engineering processes and procedures based on best practice methodology.
- Proactively learn new shift left and AI related technology trends that will impact infrastructure and testing.
- Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
What you bring:
- Around 7+ years of overall experience.
- Extensive experience (over 5 years) in Quality Automation Engineering.
- Experience developing test automation frameworks for 2+ years.
- Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Application Development Lifecycle.
- Familiar with Automation frameworks like Playwright, Pact, cypress.
- Working experience with CI-CD tools - Git Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Helm.
- BE experience developing microservices - big advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
